10 irresistible glamping domes North Carolina travelers would ditch their hotel for
Share:

Looking for something new and unique? — how about trying North Carolina glamping domes for your next travel experience.
These amazing geodesic accommodations are popping up all over the state, from the Blue Ridge mountains to quiet and peaceful vineyards.
Although I’ve stayed at several domes before, I haven’t tried every one of these (yet). They’re all at the top of my list, though, and I’ll keep updating this guide with personal notes as I go.
If you’re searching for glamping domes North Carolina travelers rave about, I’ve done some homework for you. I’ve narrowed it down to the top 10 for 2025 — all based on real guest reviews — so that you don’t have to spend your afternoon buried in booking engines.
The top-rated North Carolina glamping dome site

Short on time? I’ve got you covered.
The top pick for 2025 is The Glamping Collective. It’s stealing the show with 5 cozy domes just 20 minutes from Asheville, 889 reviews, and yep — both pet and kid approved.
So if you’re the “skip to the good part” type, that’s probably your spot.
Best North Carolina glamping domes to book for 2025
Geodesic glamping domes are popping up across North Carolina, although mostly in the western part of the state where Blue Ridge mountain views are at their best.
Of the 21 dome sites I found in NC, more than half earned perfect customer satisfaction scores this year — that’s pretty good compared to other regions.
But I also found that they’re hard to find: some websites didn’t work, and many didn’t use the same business name across web platforms making it difficult to know which dome site you were dealing with.
So I’ve gathered all the relevant information and used real guest reviews — no sponsored fluff — to help you zero in on the dome that’s right for you.

What to pack for a glamping domes North Carolina trip
Even though you’ll have way more comfort than a tent, there are still a few extras worth bringing:
- Layers & cozy clothes: Even with heat or A/C, domes breathe more than a house.
- Good shoes: Many domes are on gravel paths or steep terrain.
- Flashlight or headlamp: For night-time walks to the car or just finding the firepit.
- Bug spray & sunscreen: Nature’s gonna nature.
- Bathing suit: For the hot tub, sauna, or local swimming holes.
- Snacks & drinks: Many places have a fridge or kitchenette, and it’s nice to have your favorites on hand.
- Books & games: Many domes skip the TV — which is kind of the point.
- Camera or binoculars: For catching those mountain views, birds, or maybe even a bear (from a safe distance).
